Some campers seek unique lodging accommodations, opting to ditch the tent for a Kansas getaway that includes many of the luxuries of home in nature. These off-grid glamp sites provide comfortable overnight stays.
Isinglass Estate
LaCygne
If the thought of sleeping inside a covered wagon surrounded by a vineyard sounds like your idea of a dreamy vacation, make a reservation at Isinglass Estates, where rustic charm meets refined indulgence. Guests check in for their accommodations at the winery’s tasting room and restaurant.
Each of the Conestoga Wagons features a queen bed, a bathroom with a shower and a bar cart with wine glasses, ideal for two adults. A family covered wagon sleeps four people. Prepare a meal from a private outdoor kitchen as the sunset’s color illuminates the 600-acre property, where activities such as fishing, hiking, a petting zoo and horseback rides set a storybook scene.

BaseCamp Humboldt
Humboldt
BaseCamp Humboldt’s quaint cabins are ideal for solo travelers and couples, and the full-service glampground offers an escape in nature with access to a pond and outdoor adventures. Book a neighboring cabin for a family excursion. The Scandinavian-inspired cabins feature a modern kitchenette and sleeping quarters suitable for two people in the loft. A separate bathroom with shower facilities is available. BaseCamp is also big rig-friendly, offering RV hookups.
Listen to nature at sunrise with a view of the water before an afternoon bike ride or leisurely read from one of the camp’s hammocks. A roaring fire at each cabin’s fire pit makes cooking dinner or melting marshmallows a memory-making moment.
The camp earned Hipcamp Awards 2025: Best Places to Camp state recognition.

Pumpkin Pants Ranch
Arkansas City
Families arrive by the carload to celebrate the fall season at Pumpkin Pants Ranch, an agritourism destination with outdoor games, farm animals, a corn maze and Tonka Town. As tourist season closes, the ranch’s authentic canvas tepees are available to reserve for an overnight stay any date starting in mid-November.
The teepees offer primitive camping with an outdoor bathroom and shower. Add on an available s’mores kit and settle in by the fire pit for an evening under a canopy of stars. In the morning, welcome a new day with breakfast using farm fresh eggs while enjoying the sounds of a working farm. If RVers want to reserve a spot, Pumpkin Pants Ranch is also an official Harvest Host.
This ranch is located a few miles from the Etzanoa Conservancy, where group tours on the first Saturday of the month learn about the area once inhabited by 20,000 ancestral Wichita Indians.
