Warm Roast Beef and Swiss with Toasty Onions Buns

Ingredients

Sandwich spread

1⁄3 cup mayonnaise

1 Tbs. grated fresh horseradish

1 Tbs. barbecue sauce


Sandwiches

1 pound sliced deli roast beef

4 slices Swiss cheese

4 onion buns with poppy seeds or 4 Kaiser rolls

2 Tbs. melted butter

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the sandwich spread.

Divide the sandwich spread between the four onion buns.

Divide the roast beef between the onion buns; top each one with a slice of Swiss cheese. Add the top buns and brush each one with a bit of melted butter.

Bake the sandwiches, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until hot throughout.

Serve these sandwiches with leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes and thinly sliced red onion, as desired.
