YOU WILL NEED:

  • Craft felt sheets in yellow, black and white
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Needle and black embroidery floss (optional)
  • Pink marker (optional)

Note: Adult help and supervision is required for some steps, especially those involving hot glue.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cut out the shapes from felt.
• Yellow bee bodies to fit over the child's finger.
• White wings in the shape of the letter B.
• Black antennae, curved stripes and a stinger.

2.  Stack two wing pieces together. If desired, use embroidery floss to outline the outside edge. Otherwise, glue together using hot glue.

3. If desired, stitch eyes onto the top oval of the bee body piece and use the marker to add pink cheeks.

4. Using hot glue, attach stripes to bottom oval of bee body. Trim off excess on stripe pieces if needed.

5. Flip front bee body piece over and attach wings, stinger and antennae to the back using hot glue. Then attach the back body piece by outlining it with hot glue but leaving the bottom open (for use as a puppet).
