Kids Craft: Fall Yarn Pumpkin Garland

Put a little spring in your step with a pretty painting with the help of cotton swabs

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Orange yarn
  • Green pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • String and small pompoms or premade pompom garland

1. Make stems and vines using pipe cleaners by wrapping one half around a pencil for a curled effect, then forming the other half into a stem. Set aside.

2. Create pompom “pumpkins” by wrapping orange yarn around your hand or a piece of cardboard about 75 times.

3. Slide the yarn off and use a separate piece of yarn to tie tightly around the center of the yarn.

4. Cut the top and bottom loops of the yarn (do not cut the extra length from center ties).

5. Trim and shape as desired. Using the long ties, tie the stem to the pompom.

6. String small pompoms onto a garland (or use a pre-strung option). Using the long ties on the pumpkins, tie them to the spaces in the garland. Hang up and enjoy!
