Kids Craft: Twinkle Christmas Tree
Add some twinkle to your Christmas crafts
YOU WILL NEED:
- Green paper plate (can use green paint)
- Craft stick and brown paint
- Green napkins or tissue paper
- Gold glitter paper for star
- Glue, scissors, paintbrush
- Sequins, small gems, ornaments, beads, twine, etc.
1. Paint the craft stick brown and let it dry. If you don’t have a green paper plate, paint your plate green and let it dry.
2. Cut the paper plate into four quarters.
3. Stack three to four quarters slightly overlapping on top of each other and glue them into place.
4. Tear tissue paper or napkin into one- to two-inch pieces. Grab the center of a torn piece and crumple it. Dip into glue and place onto tree. Repeat with each piece until the tree is covered.
5. Dip sequins, beads, gems, ornaments, etc. in glue and place them on the tree for decorations. If desired, wrap in twine or a festive ribbon for garland.
6. Cut a star out of the gold glitter paper and glue to the top. Attach the tree trunk by gluing the craft stick to the back of the tree. Enjoy your creation!
