Mallory's Steak Bites

Ingredients

  • 4 round steaks
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 Tbsp seasoned salt
  • ¾ Tbsp Garlic Salt
  • ¾ Tbsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cube the round steaks into bite-sized pieces.
  • Combine eggs and milk in a medium-sized bowl, whisk and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, seasoned salt, garlic salt, paprika, onion powder and pepper.
  • A few pieces at a time, take your cubed round steak and dip into the flour mixture, the egg and milk mixture and again into the flour mixture.
  • In a large skillet that has been preheated with oil or butter, place the round steak. Cook each side approximately 4- 7 minutes, depending on the size of the cubes, until 145 degrees or golden brown. Remove from the pan and set on a plate covered with paper towels. Repeat until all the meat is cooked.
  • Drain the grease, but do not clean the pan. Add approximately 1-2 cups of flour and seasonings of choice back into the pan and mix with the meat drippings. Once the mixture is a paste-like consistency, slowly add in milk, stirring constantly on medium heat until thickened to the desired consistency.
  • Serve with mashed or baked potatoes.
