July 4th Brownie Pizza
Ingredients
A festive dessert for your summer celebrations and family gatherings — crispy crust, creamy topping and bursting berries, all in one bite. Who doesn’t love chocolate and strawberries, joined together by marshmallow fluff?
1 Duncan Hines brownie mix
¼ cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 batch Easy Marshmallow Frosting, recipe below
Sliced strawberries and blueberries
Easy Marshmallow Frosting
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
Pinch of kosher salt
7 oz. jar marshmallow fluff
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, beat brownie mix with water, oil and egg until well blended.
Spread prepared brownie batter over a greased 14” pizza pan. Bake uncovered in preheated 350-degree F. oven on center rack for 18-20 minutes or until just firm to the touch at the center of the brownie.
To prepare the frosting, place butter, powdered sugar and salt in large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy; fold in marshmallow fluff and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
When brownie is completely cooled, top with prepared marshmallow frosting, spreading evenly to the very edges of the brownie. Place strawberries and blueberries on top of frosted brownie, creating a flag pattern if desired. To serve pizza, cut into wedges using a pizza cutter.
