Honey Butter Harvest Snack Mix
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Hildebrand Farms Dairy Cinnamon-Sugar Butter (or use plain butter and add tsp. cinnamon)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 5 cups of any combination of your favorite cereals (e.g. Wheat Chex, Rice Chex or Cheerios)
- 2 cups mini pretzels
- 2 cups baked cheese crackers
- 2 cups pecans (can substitute walnuts or use 1 cup each of pecans and walnuts)
- 1-2 cups candy corn
Instructions
Preheat oven to 275° F. In a small sauce pan over medium low heat, melt cinnamon-sugar butter with honey; whisk to combine. In a large mixing bowl, toss cereals, pretzels, crackers and pecans together. Pour honey butter mixture over dry ingredients and toss well; divide mixture between two rimmed baking sheets and spread out into a single layer. Bake for 30 minutes, tossing snack mix every 10 minutes, rotating pans halfway through baking time. Remove from oven and immediately spread snack mix out over a large sheet of foil to cool; as snack mix cools, use your fingers to separate as needed, mixing in candy corn at this point. Store in air tight containers for up to 1 week.
