Easy Oven-Baked Turnip Fries

Turnip Fries

Ingredients

  • 4 turnips, sliced into ½-inch fries
  • 1-2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. granulated garlic
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450° F. In a large mixing bowl, toss turnip slices with olive oil. Combine spices in a gallon bag, then add coated turnip slices and shake to mix. Spread seasoned fries over a greased baking sheet in a single, even layer, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes, turning fries after 15 minutes, then continue to bake. Fries are ready when they are fork-tender. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
