Wamego Tulip Festival

April 16, 2016 to April 17, 2016

Wamego Tulip Festival

Details

Nestled between Topeka and Manhattan rests a town where colorful tulips are celebrated each year. Small, charming Wamego plants more than 13,000 tulips from Holland throughout the city in preparation for the annual festival.

“The colors from the tulips create the perfect backdrop for our April craft fair, which happens in Wamego’s City Park,” says
Kara Holle of the Wamego Area Chamber of Commerce. “We have more than 200 vendors who display and sell arts and crafts.”

The 29th annual Tulip Festival, taking place on April 16 and 17 this year, will also feature a horseshoe competition, a 4-H sponsored petting zoo, a model train, living historians who sleep in tee-pees overnight and weekend-long entertainment.
