Maple Leaf Festival

Details

The Maple Leaf Festival in Baldwin City takes place just as the maple tree leaves turn bright fall colors. This year, the festival will be held Oct. 21–22 with the theme of “Ride the Rails to Baldwin City,” a celebration of the historic Midland Railway.

Donna Curran, chair of the Maple Leaf Festival planning committee, says this festival has turned into an event for friends and family from afar to reunite.

“It’s a wonderful place to come shop, enjoy the scenery, listen to live music, experience the carnival, ride the train and check out the kid zone, which is free,” says Curran.

Curran encourages visitors to arrive early for the parade on Saturday morning and then attend the festival on Sunday.

Any extra funds from the non-profit festival go directly back into the community.
