Cultivating Courage

February 10, 2024 to February 11, 2024

Details

Cultivating Courage is an annual event designed for Rural Women in all walks and seasons of life hosted in Colby.

This event is for women, by women and anyone is welcome to come. You do not need to be involved in agriculture and all ages are welcome. Last year the youngest attendee was 16 and the oldest was 70.

"We come together to celebrate, learn and grow. We are all equals when you come into this room. No one person is better than the other! The moment you enter you are welcomed just as you are. You will leave better than when you came - ready to conquer the year and all the ups and downs that come with life," said Whitney Larson, creator and host of Cultivating Courage.

“I want women to have their cups filled, hopes renewed and spirits lifted by speakers who are ready to offer them encouragement and uplifting words to remind them they are strong and courageous, day in and day out. That they aren’t alone in any of these big emotions we feel and that they matter."

"I attended Cultivating Courage in person and it was amazing," says a previous attendee. "I was nervous about going, but my friend kept telling me how inspirational it was when it was virtual, so it would be incredible in person so I went along. And WOW!! It was so amazing to hear from like-minded ag women who learn to deal (and kick butt) with the ups and downs of the ag industry while juggling life, husband/significant other, kids, etc. I learned how important mental health is and how finding a community that has similar goals (family/spiritual/career) can make a huge impact in achieving your personal goals."
