Ciderfest

Details

The Louisburg Cider Mill focuses much of their hard work and efforts on one season — fall. Visitors can enjoy freshly made cider donuts, watch hot cider be made right before their eyes and browse acres upon acres of pumpkins. The 40th annual Ciderfest, scheduled for the end of September, is the perfect fall event for you and your family.

“In 1977, the Cider Mill was founded and by 1978 they had something called Ciderfest, but it wasn’t quite to the extent it is today,” says Gail Berndt, Louisburg Cider Mill’s retail operations manager.

What was once a oneday event has transformed into a celebration lasting two weekends in a row. This year’s weekends are Sept. 23-24 and Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

“This is a fun, family focused event and is as old-fashioned as you can get with live bluegrass music, fresh donuts, unique homemade items, food vendors, pony rides, a 10acre pumpkin patch and a corn maze,” says Berndt.
