Discover Salina Naturally is a unique event introducing young families to local history, children to nature and educating the community on the value of a responsible and sustainable future. This free event offers more than 70 participating demonstrators, historical reenactors, artists, booths, vendors and clubs, as well as nature walks, delicious food, entertainment, kids activities, drawings for prizes and more. It all happens Sun., May 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at  Lakewood Park in Salina. 

Step into the past with historical reenactors, walk in a forest with a birder and learn what signs to look for, appreciate the beauty of art, see worms turning garbage into soil, look toward the stars using a powerful telescope, smell all-natural laundry soap and envision the future with doable and practical ideas from dynamic exhibitors. Children will especially want to search out the activity area that’s just for them. 

Live entertainment is offered throughout the day, with each performer or group bringing a unique sound and approach to the music. And when all this fun makes you hungry, food vendors are nearby to help out.
