4 Swedish Christmas Recipes Everyone Will Love

Hello friends,

It’s a Swedish Christmas! It’s time to come in from the cold and cozy up next to a roaring fire as you enjoy some Swedish favorites.

How about a steaming mug of glögg, or mulled wine, along with a few spiced maple nuts? Talk about food for the soul. And what a lovely homemade gift they would each make for friends and family this season.

Toast Skagen is simply shrimp salad (skagenröra) on rye toast and it’s divine. You can make the components of this appetizer ahead of time and assemble just before serving. It’s so easy and beautiful and your guests will be delighted.

And finally, Swedish pancakes with warm lingonberry jam. Serve them with the Greek yogurt topping since the combination of the pancakes and the warm jam is delicious. If you’d like some crunch, add a sprinkle of toasted almonds.

Merry Christmas, or in Swedish, God Jul, to you and yours!
