A sweet healthy snack
Fresh fruit is naturally sweet but sometimes that just doesn’t quite cut it. A whole grain English muffin with peanut or almond butter can serve as a base for your favorite fruit topped with mini dark chocolate chips. Using dark chocolate limits the amount of added sugar that shows up in chocolate and can balance the natural sweetness of the fruit since it is slightly more bitter than milk chocolate. Not a fan of bananas? You can also try this with apples, pears, peaches or berries.
