Helpful tips on how to select pears and prepare Pear Sundaes with Cinnamon-Sugar Puff Pastry Dippers
Selection
Look for fruit that is smooth, free of bruises, firm and has bright, shiny skin. A ripe pear will be fragrant and will have a slight softness at the neck.
Kitchen Tip
Use a Microplane zester for easy removal of the lemon zest. Use only the bright, outer parts of the zest, not the white layer beneath that is bitter.
