Storage 

Keep the cabbage whole and do not wash until you plan to use it.  Store the whole head of cabbage in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for up to a week. 

Kitchen Tip 

To cut scallions, hold the bundle in one hand and use kitchen shears to cut them all at once, always starting at the green ends.  This allows the root end (the white part) to hold the scallion layers in place as you cutting
