Storage

Refrigerate peppers, unwashed, in a plastic bag in the vegetable drawer.  Red and yellow peppers will last four to five days; green, about a week. 

Kitchen Tip

White onions and yellow onions can be interchangeable in recipes, but white onions may tend to be a bit sweeter.  Both types are typically very mild in flavor and store well.
