YOU WILL NEED:

  • 2 craft sticks
  • Cardboard tube
  • Thin cardboard (such as from a cereal box)
  • Paint in various colors
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue (with adult supervision)
  • Cording and scrap craft stick for hanging

STEPS:

1. Cut the two craft sticks in half to make four “legs.” Paint the craft sticks and cardboard tube.

2. Cut two mirrored horse head shapes out of the thin cardboard. Glue together, leaving bottom one-quarter inch unglued. Paint.

3. Cut a slit in the tube the length of the horse head.

4. Fold up one-quarter inch at the bottom of horse head. Put glue on each side of the horse head bottom flap, then slide the horse head into the slit and press into place.

5. Decorate as desired.

6. Poke hole into top of tube and thread in cording, leaving a loop. Through the inside of the tube, tie the ends of the cording around a craft stick. Pull up on the loop to secure. Hang on your Christmas tree and enjoy!
