YOU WILL NEED:

  • Pipe cleaners (10 golden, 2 brown, 5 green)
  • Dowel rod or pencil
  • Hot glue (Adult supervision is recommended for any steps involving hot glue.)

STEPS:

1. Take a golden pipe cleaner and bend it into three oval bumps as shown. Repeat 10 times.

2. Swirl a brown pipe cleaner. Repeat again with another. Using hot glue, have an adult glue the two swirls back-to-back.

3. Using hot glue, attach the golden clusters to the back of the brown center. Five clusters will complete the circle.

4. Attach a second layer of five golden clusters, filling in the gaps between the petals in the first layer with the petals in the second layer.

5. Loop a green pipe cleaner twice to make a leaf. Wrap the end around a pencil or dowel rod. Secure it in place with hot glue, if needed. Wrap the entire pencil in green pipe cleaner.

6. Using hot glue, attach the stem to the back of the flower.
