My name is Kelsey and I’m excited to write for Kansas Living and share what happens on our farm.

I was born and raised on a family farm in northeast Kansas. My husband, Matt, also grew up on a farm, and together we’re paving our farming path together.

Today, we farm in partnership with his parents and grandma, and operate Sustainable Bites, a business that provides fresh beef directly to its customers.

We are living our dream because we help grow the food that arrives on your plate. We care a great deal about our animals, environment, land and the safety of the food we produce.

We care about these things because the same food that arrives on your plate, is the food we put on our own dinner table for our family.

Farming is our livelihood and a lifestyle choice that is not always easy. There are incredibly hard days and very long hours a majority of the year, but there are small moments that make it all worthwhile. We love this way of life and wouldn't have it any other way.
